Dark concrete in the foreground, a city full of light in the background. The best seat in the house is under the bridge.
Huge pillars and a heavy beam frame this view like a window. Through it, we see a skyline of residential towers and a sky crowded with white clouds. One tilted pillar cuts the image in two, its surface marked by stains and texture.
This photo plays with frames inside the frame, a classic trick that works wonderfully with brutalist structures. The darkness of the concrete makes the sky look even brighter, and the distant towers give a sense of scale.
It is a lovely piece for a living room or a dining room, where the horizontal format can stretch out. The poster is available in several sizes.
Concrete was not only for buildings: highways, bridges and overpasses all got the same treatment. Discover them alongside towers and monuments in our brutalism poster collection, and find out how raw concrete reshaped modern cities.
