A star on the wall, clocks on the tower, a forest of antennas on the roof. This building has a lot to say.
Its pale walls rise in simple blocks, pierced by grids of windows. At the top, a small round tower carries two clocks and a tangle of cables, dishes and masts. The large star in the middle of the facade gives a clue about the era it was built in.
This is not concrete brutalism in the strict sense, but it shares its family tree. The constructivist buildings of the 1920s and 30s, with their bold volumes and political symbols, paved the way for the raw concrete that came after. We wanted that ancestor in our brutalism architecture collection.
The soft gray tones and the vertical format suit a study, an entrance or a gallery wall mixing graphic pieces. Available in several sizes.
Brutalism did not appear out of nowhere. Discover where the movement came from and how it spread.
