Beams cross the sky in every direction, like the bones of a giant.
Between two brick and concrete walls, heavy horizontal and diagonal beams cut the frame into sharp shapes. The sky shows through in bright white patches, with a few clouds. The shadows are deep, the light is harsh, and the whole composition feels like a puzzle.
We chose this image because it shows the bones of brutalism. These beams are not hidden behind plaster or paneling. They are the structure, and they are proudly on display. That honesty is at the heart of the movement.
Its tall format and strong contrasts make it a bold choice for an office, a dark hallway or an industrial style living room. The poster is available in several sizes.
You can build a full wall of structural details with our brutalist poster collection. And if you want to know where this philosophy of exposed structure comes from, read our guide to the New Brutalism and its ethics.
