Step inside. This courtyard is a small maze of concrete.
From under a heavy overhang, we look into an inner courtyard surrounded by stepped walls, openings and terraces. A tall concrete block stands in the middle like a pedestal. A few plants hang over a wall on the right. The board marks on the concrete are visible everywhere, giving it a warm, wood-like texture.
This image is all about depth. Frames lead to other frames, walls hide other walls, and you want to keep exploring. It reminds us that brutalist buildings were often designed as spaces to walk through, with surprising perspectives at every turn.
The 5:4 format suits a living room, a study or a dining room. Its soft grays and textures bring calm and depth. Available in several sizes.
More inner spaces and passages can be found in our brutalist architecture posters. Read our article to discover how brutalism was meant to be lived in.
