Ramps curl around columns like ribbons around a maypole.
In this close view, curved concrete ramps wrap around thick round pillars, while other columns line up in the background under a heavy slab. Every surface carries the horizontal board marks of the formwork, giving the concrete a wood-grain texture.
We love how sculptural this structure is. It looks like it was carved rather than poured, with a softness that contradicts the hardness of the material. The light is gentle and even.
This is one of the most tactile images of our brutalism poster collection. You almost want to run your hand along the ramps.
Its tall format suits a narrow wall, a staircase or a bedroom. Its soft grays blend with natural materials and warm colors. The poster comes in several sizes.
Board marked concrete is one of the trademarks of brutalism, a direct legacy of béton brut. Discover where the name brutalism really comes from.
