Look up and the facade turns into a falling pyramid.
From directly below the corner, rows of deep concrete boxes stack outward, each level jutting a bit further than the last. The sunlight hits some faces and leaves others in shadow, so the whole thing looks like a 3D pattern carved in relief. The gray sky behind is smooth and empty.
This vertical crop focuses on the corner and its dizzying geometry. It feels almost like a kaleidoscope, or an Escher drawing. We find it hard to look away.
A tall format suited to a narrow wall, a staircase or the side of a bookcase. It pairs well with the landscape view of a similar corner in our brutalism wall art collection, if you want a duo.
The poster comes in several sizes.
Inverted, top heavy buildings were a bold signature of brutalism, especially for city halls and public buildings. Discover the stories of these icons in our article.
