One tower, alone, in the middle of a pale gray frame.
Its balconies stick out at odd angles, like drawers half pulled out of a cabinet. Some floors carry big angular boxes, others just a row of windows. The roof bristles with antennas. At the bottom, a few bare branches remind us there is a street down there.
What we enjoy is the space around it. The building takes only a third of the width, and the rest is empty sky. That emptiness makes the tower look even more stubborn, like it decided to stand there on its own.
This poster pairs well with other pieces from our brutalism wall art, especially the busier facades. On its own, it suits a calm room: bedroom, reading nook, entryway. It comes in several sizes.
Towers like this were once symbols of a bright future, then of urban failure. Now they are icons again. Discover the full story of brutalist architecture.
