Monet Houses of Parliament Prints Set of 3 – Fog & Sunset

Westminster as a silhouette on the Thames, three times: The Houses of Parliament, Effect of Fog, The Houses of Parliament, Sunset and The Parliament, Setting Sun. This set brings them together as 3 art prints, at 20% off the price of the three posters bought separately.

In 1900 and 1901, Monet set up his easel on a terrace of St Thomas’ Hospital, right across the river from the Houses of Parliament. He came back every afternoon to catch the moment when the neo-Gothic towers turned into a dark shape against the sky. The fog he loved so much in London did the rest: the stone disappears, and only the colors of the air remain. In this trio the towers rise from a green and orange fog, then from a golden sunset rippling on the water, and finally from a violet sky with the sun as a red disc. Stacked in a column or hung in a row, the three views make a striking wall in a living room, a hallway or an office.
