Three tall views of the same row of trees: Poplars on the Banks of the Epte, Autumn, Poplars on the Banks of the Epte, Twilight and Wind Effect, Series of the Poplars. This set brings them together as 3 art prints, at 20% off the price of the three posters bought separately.
In 1891, Monet painted a line of poplars along the river Epte, a short walk from his house at Giverny, often from a small boat. When the village put the trees up for sale, he paid the timber merchant to wait until he had finished his series. The tall, narrow trunks gave him a vertical rhythm he had never used before. In this trio they burn orange and gold in the autumn, turn violet and pink at twilight, then bend under a windy sky. Hung side by side, the three portrait views make an elegant, airy composition for a hallway, a bedroom or a living room.
