Fish scales? Organ pipes? Theater boxes? Everyone sees something different in this facade.
Curved concrete frames surround each window, repeating in tight rows up the wall. The light hits the rounded edges and leaves the deep recesses in shadow. The concrete itself is rough, marked with vertical lines and years of grime. It is ornamental, yet completely made of structure.
We included it in our brutalism poster collection because it shows a side of the style that people often forget: its inventiveness. Brutalist architects did not just make boxes. They sculpted, curved and repeated until a facade became a pattern.
The vertical format and rich textures make it a great choice for an entrance, a library corner or a bedroom with a strong personality. You can choose from several sizes.
