Why take the stairs down when you can walk across?
A steel footbridge links two residential towers high above the street. The tower on the left has a wall pierced with small diamond-shaped openings. The one on the right is covered with half round balconies, laundry hanging out to dry. A few bare branches cut across the image.
We love the everyday life in this photo. These are not museum pieces, they are homes, and the residents have made them their own with plants, clothes and satellite dishes. The skybridge adds a touch of utopian ambition: the idea of a vertical city with streets in the air.
That idea is at the heart of our brutalist architecture collection. This landscape poster suits a living room or a dining room, and pairs well with a more minimal piece.
It comes in several sizes. Brutalist architects dreamed of streets in the sky. Find out where that dream came from.
