Exclusive Posterscape Art
FSC-certified paper
Compare this basket with his dark Dutch still lifes from a couple of years earlier and you can measure how much Paris changed him. Here everything is light.
A round wicker basket holds a pile of apples, gold, orange and green. They sit on a background of pale yellow and blue strokes that seem to orbit the basket, as if the whole table were slowly turning. The basket itself is drawn in fine woven lines of brown and red. In the lower left corner, the signature: Vincent 87. A modest subject, but the colour and the rhythm make it sing.
We like it in a kitchen, a breakfast room or a light dining room. It has the warmth of an autumn afternoon. Order it as a poster in the size that suits you.
